Max
on the Beach:
Max's
case manager wanted a piece for the front office of their case
management company. She asked for a drawing of my son Max walking
on one of the local walkways to the beach with the ocean and all in the
background.. I didn't have a photo exactly like what she was
asking for. I didn't even have a full photo of Max in the
position he is portrayed in the drawing. I looked at many photos
to come up with the final drawing and even fudged the boardwalk
perspective a bit to make it look better in the context. In the
end I use about nine separate photos for reference to draw this entire
piece. I used three different ones of Max alone. I
think it turned out okay though. In fact I use a tiny section of
this one on my business cards.
This one measures 14x22" and took me six hours to complete.
